Northern Animal Tarot Deck, a wild anthropomorphic deck that stretches the imagination and travels through fairytales dreamed long ago.
Northern Animal Tarot was inspired while I was learning the RiderWaiteSmith deck and I just wasn't connecting with any of the humans on the cards. I kept wishing for animals and fairytale creatures to be on the deck. So I set about making this deck! The 1st deck was a kickstarter success, Thank for your support!
Ive always been drawn to folktales and fairytale art works and Ive aways enjoyed tarot ever since I was young. About 5 years ago I started trying to learn the RiderWaiteSmith cards properly, rather than just reading the cards as though they were parts of a picture book. Animal stories, fairytales and folklore are all about learning to listen to your intuition. I still see tarot like a book without its binding, that you can shuffle new stories every time you reach for your deck. It's a personal journey with the cards every time.
The 2nd Edition Deck Edits and Changes
-All decks comes with a little white info booklet that fits in the box.
*The card stock is 16pt with an eggshell finish/pearl, the card stock is too stiff for an easy riffle shuffle and can't bridge the cards.
-Dark Blue tuck box with a gold foil images for some extra sparkle!
- The card Back are now green with foxes, pinecones, leafs and stars
- card colour enhancements for dark cards and skies colours in many of the cards!
-And the World card animal has been switched from an opossum to a Raven. The darker cards have all been enhanced and brighten up!
Whats included in the Northern Animal Tarot deck:
98 card deck: 79 tarot cards, 4 moon cards, 4 season cards, 4 shadow cards, 3 spread cards & 3 bonus! Little white info booklet, paper belly band on the cards (no plastic this time!) And if we reach our goal every deck comes with a hand printed cotton bag!
Size of the card same as the 1st Edition 3"x 5" or 7.5cm X 13cm.
This is a small limited edition 2nd printing run of decks.
