Hello dearest Kittens! Do you think the Playful Heart Tarot could get any more colorful? YES, it could! Check out these decks with rainbow edging! I am edging them myself using various gold and fluorescent markers. My standard approach is “the brighter the better”. You can leave me a note in the checkout comment box or shoot me an email. Please note, that these decks are the same second edition decks as you would get without edging. I am opening the box and coloring the sides of each card one at a time. They have now become one of a kind (OOAK) custom decks. Since they are hand colored, please allow for small inconsistencies and imperfections. The cards are brand new, unused. The coloring on the edges will not affect your cards’ shuffle-ability. You will receive a deck in an opened box, gift wrapped. Allow an extra 3- 4 business days for getting these ready for you. Each deck will be infused with extra tarot love.
NEW! 7 CARD EXTENSION PACK
These seven cards are the same size, stock and backs as the main deck. You can mix these extras into your deck or use them by themselves for journaling etc. So excited about these new babies! I cannot wait for you to have them. You can purchase them separately a’la carte or with the deck.
THERE IS A GUIDE BOOK TOO!
The guide booklet is written in a playful, tongue-in-cheek voice, it will help you understand my imagery and my ideas about the cards. It also includes general tarot tips, tarot spells, and creative ideas about all the cards. In addition, each card has an “In a Pickle” section that shows how the card energies might be misbehaving in your life—whether you read reversals or not. Each booklet is 5“x7” easy to handle and read size. (In the only remaining available booklets the text for two new extra cards: You are not alone, Take the first step today is not included.)
WHAT IS NEW IN THE SECOND EDITION?
The main 78 card deck has 2 new extra bonus cards (You are not alone, Take the first step today) and art for the Things are easier than you think card is new too. The three other extra cards remain the same: Embrace your inner child/Yes/You are free. So there is a total of six bonus cards. The two cards with written intro on them are gone.
The Justice and Judgement cards have new artwork.
There is a light color coding texture on the bottom of the minor arcana cards: Wands: pink/orange. Cups: blue. Swords: purple. Pentacles: green. This color coding aims to inform you of the balance of the suits in your reading. It is also super helpful while looking for a card in the full deck. The majors cards remain only gold on the bottom section as before.
I have adjusted some of the layouts and sizes of some of the illustrated figures. For example on the The Emperor, The Wheel, Page of Swords, 6 and 2 of Swords, 10 of Wands, Ace and 8 of Cups the main characters are slightly bigger and in better focus. These are not radical changes but they do make a difference in how the card’s layout looks. See some samples in the photos included.

The Playful Heart Tarot is printed on 340 GSM (gram per square meter) black core paper with a micro linen finish. I love that the paper and the print process is the same as for casino playing cards which are specially manufactured for PLAY and heavy duty handling. The macro linen finish is a process that is applied to the already printed paper via embossing. Card surface embossing creates air pockets to provide an unparalleled smoothness in card handling. That is why these cards shuffle super well. They are durable too. They won’t fray at the edges or peel. The cards are 75 x 130 mm (2.95” x 5.11”). The cards are packed in a gorgeous rainbow-foil-kissed tuck box, wrapped in a cello layer. There is a red string peeler on the cello wrap you can pull on to start unpacking your cards! The deck is sealed with a special message STAMP. There is a secret message for you on both the top and the bottom flaps of the box. The artwork reproduction on the cards is excellent, even the smallest details show up clearly.
