The Berlin artist Margarete Petersen has created the original paintings for this Tarot over a period of 22 years. The map deck in printed form was first published in 2001.
Various currents of art and influences of contemporary spirituality as well as the traditional symbolism of the 78 cards of the Tarotspiel characterize the imagery of Margarete Petersen Tarot. Among other things, the new interpretation is reflected in the naming of the yard cards: instead of king, queen, knight, page / jack, they are called father, mother, son, daughter in this deck and the swords are replaced by feathers in the small arcane.
This reprint has been published in English (both the name on the cards and the manual). On the publisher's website, it is possible to download the translation of the manual in German: www.koenigsfurt-urania.com
