Green Glyphs began as a Lenormand deck in 2019. I was drawn to the straightforward imagery associated with Lenormand and so I set out to make a bright, bold, and color-coded deck. At the end of the Lenormand in 2019, I had the idea to create a Tarot deck that matched in size and style. What I ended up making became so much more. The concept of Green Glyphs transformed into a set of four divination decks. Each deck can be used on its own, paired with another, or combined completely to make one mega hybrid deck of 200 cards.
The color-coded system of Green Glyphs is what makes these decks unique and quick to read. Simplicity is the key with Green Glyphs. Cards are color-coded to signify their presence - when oranges and reds show up the card had challenging qualites. When golds and yellows show up the card has uplifting qualities. The color can be read even deeper based on the location and amount of a certain color.
The cards in Green Glyphs are adorned with prismatic gold edges that shine with brilliant rainbows when the light hits the deck. The cards are made from 350gsm paper and measure 65mm x 90mm (2.5 x 3.5 inches) with matte UV varnishing.
Each deck comes in a custom box designed to protect the cards and is sized to include a large guidebook. Each box has a ribbon for easy card removal. Boxes are adorned with foil accents on the inside and out side.
Each deck comes with a full-color guidebook that introduces the divination cards and covers the meanings and keywords of the cards found within the box.
The Box Set
I wanted to design something to hold the entire collection together. I was inspired by my childhood making dioramas. I took the simple elegant style of the individual Green Glyphs deck boxes and designed a diorama on the inside of the box that reveals itself as the decks are removed.
